Why we’re going alcohol-free

A wee while ago we held a focus group to find out what people wanted from live music concerts and one of the issues raised was not one we had thought of before.

The member of the focus group told us that there are some people who feel excluded from events because they are not able to be around alcohol. This may be for religious or cultural reasons or because they are recovering from an addiction.

So after chatting with the venue - The Traverse Theatre - who readily agreed to try this out, we are presenting one of our shows in an alcohol-free space.

Hannah Lavery’s Unwritten Women (pictured) on Sunday 1 December at 3pm is that very special show.

Whilst the Traverse Bar area will be open no alcohol will be on sale or displayed. It will be possible to buy tea, coffee and soft drinks.
